How to Apply

Sunny Hollow Admissions Information

1. Schedule a Parent/Caregiver Visit

Come see Sunny Hollow Montessori! Schedule a visit HERE or by calling our Admissions Office at 651-690-2307.

 

2. Applying

Application: Complete our Admissions Application, which includes a non-refundable $75 application fee. The priority application deadline for the 2023-2024 school year is February 18. Applications are now being accepted on a rolling admissions, space-available basis for all programs.

  • Fall 2025 Priority Application Deadline for Casa, Elementary and Junior High: February 17
  • New Families Financial Aid Application Deadline: February 19
  • Admissions Decisions will be Communicated by March 15
Families may still apply for Casa, Elementary, and Junior High after the priority deadline. These applications will receive full consideration but on a space-available basis.

  • Records: Sign and submit the Request for Records form to your child’s current childcare provider or school to authorize the release of your child’s records to Sunny Hollow.
  • Teacher Evaluation (Elementary and Junior High applicants only): Submit the Confidential Teacher Evaluation to authorize your child’s current teacher to provide the evaluation to Sunny Hollow.

Applications for our Casa, Elementary, and Junior High programs are complete when all required paperwork and records are received at Sunny Hollow.

3. Financial Aid 

For families with preschool-aged children, tuition assistance from the State of Minnesota is available to eligible families. Sunny Hollow also has tuition assistance for families with multiple children at the school (a sibling discount).

In addition, Sunny Hollow makes financial aid available to qualifying families with resources directly from the school. These funds are limited and families seeking financial aid apply through the School & Student Services program.

4. Applicant Visit

Toddler Applicants (16 months-33 months): Application for toddlers are accepted throughout the calendar year. As a toddler transitions to the Casa program, we select a child from the applicant waitlist to fill this space. 

Casa Applicants (Preschool and Kindergarten): Applications for Casa applicants are accepted through the calendar year. If a space becomes available during the year, a candidate from this applicant waitlist will be selected and invited to visit the classroom. For September enrollment, applicants will be invited to participate in a visitation day to the classroom in late February or early March.

Elementary and Junior High Applicants: Applications for Elementary and Junior High candidates are accepted throughout the calendar year, but the deadline for the first round of acceptances is February 17. Applicants will be invited to participate in a morning work cycle (8:30 – 11:30 AM) as part of the application process. 

 

5. Admission Decisions

Toddler decisions will be communicated via phone, email, and letter at the time of acceptance.
 
Casa, Elementary, and Junior High decisions will be communicated via email and letter. For September enrollment, we will notify families by March 15. Applications for each school year are completed at the end of the admission season and are not rolled over.
