Andrea holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Central Florida, a Certificate in Integrative Mental Health, and is a certified Registered Behavior Technician from the BACB with added experience as a Paraprofessional in Utah. Over the past few years, she has worked with students of all ages and diverse needs in schools and therapy programs supporting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
Andrea is native Colombian, fluent in three other languages. She loves using her multicultural background to connect with children and families in a way that celebrates their individuality.
At Sunny Hollow, Andrea’s role is to partner with guides, staff, and parents to create an environment where every child feels safe, respected, and able to thrive. Her training as an RBT complements Montessori by adding an extra layer of support for children who may need it, while honoring our community’s commitment to independence, respect, and intrinsic motivation.
Her goal is to support not only the learner, but also the wonderful guides, staff, and parents that make the Sunny Hollow community.
Outside of school, you’ll probably find her spending time with her partner and cat, coloring, reading, or exploring new cultures around the world. She is excited to begin this journey with the Sunny Hollow community.
