Makenzie joined the Sunny Hollow Community in 2023. Originally from Wisconsin, they studied Art at the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. Shortly after school, Makenzie started to work as a nanny, which is where she discovered her love of working with children and witnessing their growth and development. Makenzie is an advocate for all children and aims to foster an environment that is compassionate as well as respectful.
Makenzie completed the AMI Montessori 3-6 Orientation with the Montessori Center of Minnesota in 2023. She is currently enrolled at St. Kate’s working towards her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, where she will also earn the AMS Montessori Primary (3-6) certification.
In their free time, Makenzie loves to be outside; walking, birding, and swimming. She also enjoys reading, visiting various art museums in Minnesota, and spending time with her friends and partner.
