The Five Steps to becoming a Sunny Hollow family
Becoming part of the Sunny Hollow community is a five-step process.
Step 1. Schedule a Parent/Caregiver Visit
Experience shows that prospective families who attend both a tour and an open house feel most informed about the educational model we offer at Sunny Hollow Montessori.
Schedule a visit by calling our Admissions Office at 651-690-2307 or by filling out a contact form.
Step 2. Submit your Application
Complete our Admissions Application, which includes a non-refundable application fee. Families may still apply for Casa, Elementary, and Junior High after the priority deadline. These applications will receive full consideration on a space-available basis.
- Records: Sign and submit the Request for Records form to your child’s current childcare provider or school to authorize the release of your child’s records to Sunny Hollow.
- Teacher Evaluation (Elementary and Junior High applicants only): Submit the Confidential Teacher Evaluation to authorize your child’s current teacher to provide the evaluation to Sunny Hollow.
Applications for our Casa, Elementary, and Junior High programs are complete when all required paperwork and records are received at Sunny Hollow.
Step 3. Apply for Financial Aid
Tuition assistance from the State of Minnesota is available to eligible families with preschool-age children. Sunny Hollow also has tuition assistance for families with multiple children at the school (a sibling discount).
Financial aid directly from the school is limited. Families seeking financial aid can apply through the School & Student Services program.
Visit our Tuition page for more information.
Step 4. Classroom Visit
As part of the application process for Elementary and Junior High students, we will schedule a time for your child to attend a visitation day in the classroom.
Step 5. Admission Decisions communicated
Admissions decisions will be communicated via email, and you will receive an Enrollment Agreement to confirm your student’s spot.
Note: Applications for each school year are completed at the end of each admission season and are not rolled over.
